A Dubrovnic Street Scene
When choosing this subject, I was drawn to the soft shapes of the green foliage and pink flowers of the Camelia, framed by the archway. Also the bright splash of sunshine on the wall, the shapes of the shadows and overall warmth of the colour. A really enjoyable subject to paint, and perhaps a reminder of the summer holidays that perhaps seem a long time ago now.
